The Hands Free Leash

So I'm an avid fan of The Swanky Pup, mainly because they have so many neat doggie thingys that you either A) just have to get or B) wonder who has the money to purchase this stuff. It's always a treat in my Google Reader when there's a new post!

Which leads me to this post (The Swanky Pup highlighted this too) - we run with Rusty. Sometimes up to 4 miles and let me tell you. I don't feel like I get a great work out holding the leash in my left hand. I'd much rather run and NOT hold the leash so that's what this hands free leash does from The Loyal Dog. It's $25 which isn't too bad for a leash (there's a doggie boutique in town where leashes are $50 and up, no thank you!).

I think I'll most definitely order it - it looks fairly simple and straightforward.

Toxic Plants in Indiana?

Oh, yes there are...

Here's the link to the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and a link of toxic plants located in Indiana.

Unfortunately we have a Black Walnut tree in the backyard. It even says, "Do not let dogs eat walnut hulls." Oops. I think Rusty might've eaten one or two... Well no symptoms of what they've explained...

Let's see, what else do we have in our yard that's toxic?

Um. I can't really identify any other plants in our yard! I'll have to take pictures and then look 'em all up...

Dang it - I can't wait until we don't have to rent later this year!

It's The Rusty Cam!!

Do you remember this?

OMG. I am so amused!!! It hangs on his collar pretty well until he shakes but otherwise, it's hilarious! It's pretty easy to use and Rusty didn't even notice it on his collar. So funny! Take a look at the pics below...

Clean Your Computer Screen!

I know you don't clean your computer screen very often and it is hard to do the inside, so here's a cleaner to use.

Dog Food Storage

Iris Airtight 30-Quart Pet-Food Storage Container

I'm stuck. Seriously. I'm sick and tired of looking at a dog food bag that doesn't have an airtight seal.

Bergan Floor Stack-N-Stor 40 Storage Container (15.25'' x 12.5'' x 15'' - 27-29 lbs storage)

But there's no pretty dog food containers (go figure, right? It's for dog food!) and we need to keep it out in the open because there's just no storage in our house.

Vittles Vault STACKable 40 lb

I just don't know what I'm leaning towards yet. Eh, we'll see what happens! I'm leaning towards the Vittles Stackables, but well, they're kinda ugly.

I'd like pretty, but I don't think I'm going to get it!

It's The New Food

California Natural Lamb Meal and Rice Adult Dry Dog Food (30-lb bag)

We did it. We made the switch. And now - Rusty's stools (or poop or whatever you want to call the brown stuff that comes out of his butt) are much harder than before. He only poops once a day (yes!) AND there's no more itching, no more licking, etc...

We've done it... and I think we'll rotate the CA Naturals - but not the chicken - to give him some variety of proteins and flavors with the Herring & Sweet Potato.

I never thought I'd be this interested in dog food!
